Owner, Joel Bamber is an explorer, an adventurer, some say philosopher, and others a frustrated nomad… and most certainly a brilliantly fun tour guide and expert driver. With over 25 years in the tourism industry, he founded this unique tour company with a grand idea – to make tours that people love, that evoke meaning, and widen horizons. 

Joel has explored solo, in tandem, with family and in small groups across five continents and over 60 countries - from trucking through the Khalahari to motorcycling across India. 

Stepping away from corporate and industrialized tourism, Joel brings us back to the very reason we travel, explore, and adventure – away from the mundane and into the mountains, away from modern resorts and into ancient cities and villages, where real and unforgettable experiences are to be found. 

And of course, there is our love of Land Rovers. These trusty steeds provide an exciting and comfortable way to explore off-beaten paths and rugged terrain. There is no better way to discover this wonderful and sometimes wild country than in this iconic classic.

Terre Rouge Tours supports local businesses and collaborates with independent outlets, such as artisan food producers and small-scale winemakers. Each tour is designed to be individually engaging, with activities that resonate personally with our guests.
